The Board of Chaos

If you walked into our production space right now, you probably wouldn’t see movie magic.

You’d see a mirror.

Covered in sticky notes.

Rows and rows of scenes. Character names. Location reminders. Call times. Arrows crossing other arrows. Notes scribbled in different colors. Entire sections removed and rebuilt. Scene numbers moved. Then moved again.

And somehow… it all makes sense.

This month has been less about cameras and more about creating the foundation that allows cameras to roll.

Behind every finished scene is a hundred invisible decisions.

Phone calls. Text messages. Scheduling conflicts. Availability changes. Prop lists. Wardrobe planning. Location scouting. Shot ideas. Rehearsals. Timing. Contingency plans. Constant communication between cast and crew.

One sticky note might move because an actor’s availability changes.

That move affects a location.

That location affects wardrobe.

Wardrobe affects continuity.

Continuity changes another filming day.

And suddenly one little square of paper creates a chain reaction across the entire board.

So yes—the board has changed. A lot.

But that’s filmmaking.

We’ve spent countless hours building schedules that work for everyone, coordinating locations around the days and times we’re allowed to shoot, planning emotional scenes alongside action sequences, and making sure every moving piece eventually fits together.

And honestly… it’s been a lot of fun.

There’s something exciting about seeing a story slowly stop being words on paper and start becoming something tangible.

Scouting locations has brought scenes to life.

Planning action moments has made us imagine how audiences will feel in those moments.

Rehearsals have turned conversations into characters.

Every adjustment has brought us one step closer.

Now we’re reaching the point where preparation turns into production.

Our cast and crew are excited.

We’re excited.

And while there’s still plenty of movement happening on the Board of Chaos… we’re excitedly (and patiently) waiting for our first cast members to arrive and begin filming.

The goal has never been perfection.

The goal has always been to create something honest. Something emotional. Something memorable.

Something people will carry with them after the credits roll.

The sticky notes will eventually come down.

But what we’re building with them—we hope lasts a lot longer.
